The Balfour Beatty Communities Community Centers offer a multitude of enjoyable features for resident enjoyment. Features include a full kitchen, flat screen TV, air hockey table, and tables and chairs for 40-50 people. Many LifeWorks events are held at the Community Center. Spaces within the Community Center may be rented out for private events by residents. To request to rent a room, please contact the Community Management Office.
Community Center Rental Policies
We want to provide an exciting, fun-filled place for the families of NAS Meridian. There are a few rules that everyone must follow to make an enjoyable experience for everyone who enters.
- No drugs, alcohol, or pets are permitted.
- Resident must be present at all times during a rental.
- Residents are not allowed to rent the Community Center for a third party.
- If charges are assessed, an itemized list of costs will be provided to the resident and should charges exceed the deposit amount then remittance will be due immediately.

Sesame Room
719 Gill Street
The Sesame Room is filled with Sesame Street games, characters, books, and educational DVDs. It is available to residents Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm and as needed.
NAS Meridian was awarded the Sesame Room through an extension of Sesame Workshop's "Talk, Listen, Connect" program, a joint effort between TLC and Sesame Street.
Playgrounds & Picnic Areas
Playgrounds and picnic areas are located in both Juniper Ridge and Pine Crest. Playgrounds can be accessed between 8am and 10pm. Features include an obstacle course, and swing set.There are two themed playgrounds located on base including a castle theme and a train station theme. Children under the age of ten are not allowed in the playground without adult supervision. Picnic areas include both picnic tables and benches. The play area is designed for children ages five to twelve years of age.
Dog Park
A dog park is located in Juniper Ridge and can be accessed by residents between 8 am and 10pm. Features include a fenced-in area for the dogs to run and exercise. There is also access to water. Pets must be controlled at all times. Pets also must be cleaned up after.
